ProducerCafé Brisa Serena Timor-Leste
Timor-Leste is an island country in Southeast Asia. Australia is the country's southern neighbor, separated by the Timor Sea.
This coffee is produced and processed by a group of 15 farmers organized around an organization called Café Brisa Serena Timor-Leste (CBS) which is certified organic. CBS has done great work with their partner producers and Peace Winds Japan to enhance coffee quality and to get access to the international market. Their coffees have a level of transparency and traceability not commonly found. We can learn about this coffee’s travels from the sub-village level, all the way to export from Timor-Leste.
This coffee comes from Ducurai village, in Letefoho, Ermera municipality. Peace Winds Japan has worked here for years. Their current project focuses on agroforestry education.

Transparency
We want to be transparent about the costs involved in making a bag of coffee. Our goal is to be equitable to all parties involved, from the producers who grow the beans to those who buy our roasted coffee. We are a small local business that regularly finds new ways to improve our costs, while ensuring our customers get the highest quality cup of coffee.
